I'm happy to know how many visitors your site have had. I don't know why, though. I just think it's nice.

Soph,

I don't think that even those who were my real physical friends would want to know the actual numbers (if they actually knew I did this blog, which they don't at the moment). My wife isn't interested in the actual numbers either.

I think it's quite Aspie to want to know this sort of thing. Nothing wrong with that, of course - it's perfectly alright and valid for us to want to know things like this.

If you are interested in how the numbers are stacking up again in the future, just ask, and I'll let you know. :)

Gavin,

Yes - I agree. My first attempt at blogging was sometime around 2004, and the tools around then were far more primitive. I'm amazed at how powerful and adaptable Wordpress, which is the tool I use these day is.

p.s. - it's an odd feeling for me to have you commenting on my blog. Your blog was one of the first I found when I started looking for answers six or seven moths ago. I've found it to be an invaluable source of information. And now here you are commenting on words I've written... A very strange feeling!

The whole nature of the Internet has changed in the last five years. Blogging means that a lot of people who weren't previously able to (easily) publish are now able to "brain-dump" at regular intervals.

Somehow that is much more appealing than reading stale over-edited articles on published sites.

Seemed quite logical of you to tell us how many visitors you had. I guess I'm showing my true colours there.
